Creepy programmer builds AI algorithm to ‘expose’ adult actresses


Yesterday, Yiqin Fu, a research associate at Yale University, tweeted a thread about a Chinese programmer who had claimed he had built an algorithm that had identified 100,000 adult actresses by cross-referencing footage from porn videos with social media profile pictures. Using this tool, they hope to help others check whether their girlfriends have ever acted in pornographic films. Cryptocurrency startup Tagomi gets BitLicense to operate in New York

Tagomi Trading LLC, a cryptocurrency venture backed by Paradigm and Pantera Capital, has become the 18th firm to receive a coveted BitLicense. The crypto brokerage firm received approval for a virtual currency license and a money transmission license. As a result, Tagomi is now authorized to offer trading for “non-securities virtual currencies“, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, and Litecoin.
