YouTube might finally support picture-in-picture mode on your iPhone


You might finally be able to text the friends you pretend to have while watching YouTube on your iPad and iPhone devices. Google has seemingly begun testing picture-in-picture as part of the latest update to the YouTube app for iOS, as reported by users on Twitter and corroborated by 9to5Mac. It appears the company has opted for a gradual rollout as only select users have access to it for now — it also doesn’t work for every video.
