Dutch startups created 151K jobs in the Netherlands in 2023


The Netherlands is among Europe’s biggest tech ecosystems, not only driving innovation but employment as well. According to a report by Dealroom, in 2023, Dutch startups created 256,000 jobs globally and 151,000 jobs spread across over 50 cities in the country. Age and size matter Last year marked the first time that startups founded between 2011 and 2017 offered as many jobs as companies founded up to 2005, including early big successes such as Booking and TomTom. Why is Venus so inhospitable? ESA launches new mission to find out

The European Space Agency (ESA) has embarked on a new mission to explore our closest planetary neighbour Venus in unprecedented detail.  Known as EnVision, the spacecraft will study Venus from the planet’s inner core to its outer atmosphere, to help astronomers understand why the scorching, toxic world is so different from Earth.  Work will begin on the spacecraft and its instruments later this year, following the selection of an industrial contractor.
