Xiaomi’s new smart TVs are cheap and feature-rich – too bad they can’t play Netflix


At an event in Bangalore, India today, Chinese gadget giant Xiaomi unveiled three new TVs with Google’s Android TV platform on board – and a shockingly low starting price of Rs. 14,999 ($206). What’s the catch? The $206 price is for the low-end 32-inch 720p model, the Mi LED TV 4C PRO. You can also get a 49-inch 1080p variant for Rs. 29,999 ($413). Macron convinces UK nuclear startup to build its first factory in France

London-based nuclear energy startup Newcleo has scrapped plans to build its first power plant in Britain, opting to invest in France instead.  The move follows extensive lobbying by France’s president Emmanuel Macron, who has personally met with Newcleo’s chief executive and founder Stefano Buono several times, to convince him to build the company’s first modular nuclear reactor in France, the Telegraph reports.  Founded in 2021, Newcleo develops small nuclear reactors powered by radioactive waste.
