South Korea aims to end Apple and Google’s commission dominance


South Korea is set to pass a landmark amendment to a law that could force Apple and Google to give up their grip over collecting commissions from developers. While there has been a lot of discussions around these two companies having too much control over fees collected from in-app purchases in their app stores, this is the first time a country has taken a definitive step to curb that. According to Reuters, a South Korean parliamentary committee has already voted in favor of the amendment this morning. Enter ClimateGPT — the ‘first-ever’ AI model dedicated to fighting climate change

Fledgling AI startup EQTY Lab has unveiled the “first-ever” AI chatbot designed to provide accurate and authenticated climate data. Macron convinces UK nuclear startup to build its first factory in France

London-based nuclear energy startup Newcleo has scrapped plans to build its first power plant in Britain, opting to invest in France instead.  The move follows extensive lobbying by France’s president Emmanuel Macron, who has personally met with Newcleo’s chief executive and founder Stefano Buono several times, to convince him to build the company’s first modular nuclear reactor in France, the Telegraph reports.  Founded in 2021, Newcleo develops small nuclear reactors powered by radioactive waste.
